Based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Toyota Glanza is coming with a 1.2-liter petrol engine. Glanza will also come with 5-speed manual gearbox and CVT option.
Toyota’s ‘Baleno’ Glanza
Ever since the first picture surfaced on the Internet, Maruti Suzuki Baleno-based Toyota’s Glanza had come to the discussion since then. So far, this car had information that it will be launched at the beginning of June 2019.
However, the date of the launch has now been confirmed. Toyota Glanza will be launched in India on June 6, 2019.
The company has also released a second teaser video as well as announcing the launch date. In this teaser, Glanza can be seen from the front. Spy photos of this car were also seen first.
Talking about the up marking Glanza’s front look, it has a chrome-bound grill, but apart from this it looks like Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift. Here is also the alloy Wheel like Baleno. The Toyota Glenja and Variants logo here will look different only in the back.
As Glanza as Baleno
It is expected that V variants will be the top model, which will be based on Alpha variants of Baleno and the Lower G Variant, which will be based on Zeta of Baleno. Talking about the interior of the car, it is similar to Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift.
From the dash layout to the steering wheel and upholstory color skimmers, Glanza is the same as Baleno from inside. Although the Toyota logo will be on steering.
Even in Glanza there will be 7.0-inch touchscreen injection system like the Baleno Smart Play Studio Unit. However, some changes can be seen in the system interface on behalf of Toyota.
Technical similarities
Speaking of the new Glanza engine, according to the information received, it can be given 84hp, 1.2-liter, K12B petrol engine taken from Baleno Facilite and there will not be any diesel engine.
According to sources, with the K12B in the future, a 1.2-liter K12C DualJet engine can also be provided in the future with a smart hybrid system. For transmission, here you will get 5-speed manual gearbox and CVT option.
