Citroen Reveals Refreshed eC3 Electric Hatchback for European Market with 320 km range
Citroen has taken the wraps off its revamped eC3 electric hatchback, which has been exclusively tailored for the European market. This new iteration showcases a striking and unique design compared to the version available in India.
Platform and Design Transformation
Developed on Stellantis’ innovative Smart Car Platform, the EU-spec Citroen eC3 reveals a fresh and highly distinctive appearance inspired by the Oli Concept. Notably, it boasts a more angular front fascia, adorned with the brand’s latest logo positioned prominently at the center. This electric car comes equipped with striking V-shaped LED headlights featuring distinct three-piece LED daytime running lights.
Modern Interior Redesign
Moving inside, the vehicle’s interior has also received a comprehensive update to offer a modern and functional cabin. The revamped dashboard features a clean, layered design centered around a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, providing an intuitive and tech-savvy interface. A notable feature is the intriguing and stylish steering wheel, accompanied by the latest Citroen Head Up Display, enhancing convenience and safety.
Impressive Performance and Range
Under the hood, the Citroen eC3 is powered by a single electric motor, which drives the front axle, delivering a robust 111 BHP. This setup allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 11 seconds and attain a top speed of 135 km/h.
The eC3 is energized by a 44 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a remarkable maximum range of 320 km according to the WLTP cycle. For modern-day convenience, the eC3 offers rapid charging capabilities. With the 100 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes. Alternatively, a 7 kW AC charger can achieve the same level of charge in approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes, accommodating various charging preferences.
