In a bold move to challenge the dominance of Royal Enfield‘s Classic 350, Honda has introduced a new variant of its CB350 model, aptly named the ‘CB350’. Priced at an attractive Rs 1,99,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the retro-classic CB350 seamlessly blends timeless design with modern features, making it an enticing option for enthusiasts seeking a nostalgic riding experience.
The CB350’s aesthetic charm is enhanced by its classic design elements, featuring long metal fenders and metallic covers adorning the front fork, evoking an era of nostalgia. The split seat further accentuates the heritage-inspired styling, while the bike’s semi-digital instrument console blends vintage aesthetics with the convenience of Honda’s Smartphone Voice Control System. Notable modern touches include LED lighting, an emergency stop signal, and the Honda Selectable Torque Control system.
Powering the CB350 is the proven 348.36cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering a robust performance of 20.78 BHP at 5,500 rpm and 29.4 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a smooth and controlled 5-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch.
In terms of suspension, the CB350 boasts a telescopic front fork and nitrogen-charged shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a comfortable and well-balanced ride. Braking performance is reliable, thanks to a single 310 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, supported by a dual-channel ABS system for enhanced safety. The bike rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, with a 130-section tyre at the rear, providing stability and control on a variety of terrains.
The Honda CB350 is available in two variants with the following ex-showroom prices:
- CB350 DLX: Rs 1,99,900
- CB350 DLX Pro: Rs 2,17,800
This strategic move by Honda signifies its intent to make a strong presence in the retro-classic segment, capitalizing on the popularity and legacy of models like the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The CB350 aims to offer a compelling combination of timeless design, modern features, and Honda’s renowned engineering, catering to riders seeking a unique and nostalgic riding experience.
