India Welcomes the Upgraded Mid-Size SUV with Advanced Safety Measures
In a much-anticipated debut, the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift has hit the Indian market, bringing with it not only a refreshed appearance and an array of new features but also an enhanced focus on safety. With a total of 25 safety features, including Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the Sonet aims to set a new standard in safety for the mid-size SUV segment.
A Total of 25 Safety Features
The 2024 Kia Sonet doesn’t compromise when it comes to safety, boasting a comprehensive suite of 25 features. Notably, 15 of these safety features are standard across all variants, ensuring that safety is not an optional extra but an integral part of the driving experience.
Standard Safety Features: A Closer Look
The list of 15 standard safety features includes essentials that prioritize occupant protection and overall driving safety. Some key features encompass Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Impact-sensing door locks, and Speed-sensing auto door lock. Additionally, the Sonet comes equipped with six airbags, front and rear three-point seat belts, Hill-start assist, Rear parking sensors, Emergency stop signal, and Electronic Stability Control.
Six Airbags Across All Variants
Kia India is ensuring uniform safety standards across the entire Sonet lineup by providing six airbags as a standard feature. This includes dual front airbags, front-seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags, offering a comprehensive safety cocoon for occupants.
Level 1 ADAS for Advanced Safety
One of the standout features of the Sonet facelift is the introduction of Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on the top-spec X Line variant. This makes the Sonet the second SUV, following the Hyundai Venue, to offer such advanced safety features. The Level 1 ADAS features include Forward Collision Warning with Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and Leading Vehicle Departure Assist.
Kia’s commitment to safety is evident in the meticulous integration of these advanced features, providing not only a secure driving experience but also positioning the 2024 Sonet as a leader in the mid-size SUV segment. As car buyers increasingly prioritize safety, the Kia Sonet’s comprehensive safety suite is poised to make a significant impact on the Indian automotive market.
